Lately I have been feeling a bit frustrated - it's too dark to ride or run in the morning and when I get home from work. Riding on the trainer is not necessarily out of the question, but it doesn't seem worth it to go to where I have it set up. Winter is really slowing me down! Well, actually it's Standard Time - can't wait until DST starts again!
So, I have been thinking of a solution and while I was sitting at work watching the cyclists ride by it occurred to me that I start work at 8:30 and that it would be easy enough to start at 8:00 and take an hour lunch for my training/workouts. I didn't see too much of a problem with that plan so I I went to my supervisor to present my request and the purpose and starting next Tuesday I'll start my training plan for running a 10K. Also have the Duathlon to think about! Also, the Worst Day ride is just over a month away and I want to do the 40 mile route...that might be a lofty goal, but 18 miles just isn't enough of a ride anymore.
I'll have to figure out a place to store my bike at work since I plan to bring my Trek with me. I don't think that will be much of a problem. There are a few hiding places around the station.
This is exciting - I haven't felt this way in a long time.
